Mike has been a commercial broker and investor for over 30 years. He started rehabbing multi-family houses then converting gas stations to retail uses in Lynn, Mass. in 1972.
Holding a Mass. Builders License since 1979 has exposed Mike to a varying type of properties in almost every zoning classification..
Through his work with commercial and residential developers; attending many town and city board meetings has given Mike a thorough overview of the permitting process.
The largest transaction he has completed and is immensely proud of also happens to be the largest single project approved and developed in downtown Haverhills history. It involved 3 buildings consisting of a total of 397,000 square feet on 5 acres. Mike represented the Buyer (a member of the New York Stock Exchange since 1960) on 2 buildings and the Seller on one. When completed it will be a transformation of a former leather factory complex to a 303 unit modern apartment building. It was a complicated transaction that involved a zoning change, contaminated soils and Federal, State, local, and Historic Tax Credits that took nearly 24 months to close.
Mike has been a Lifetime Member of the Lynn YMCA since 1978, a Member of the Havehill and Lynn Chambers of Commerce, and is also a member of the Greater Boston Board of Realtors.
His philosophy of conducting his real estate practice is: "The more you help people out of a current situation, the better business becomes." When people come to him to sell or buy a property, and need an acquisition or disposition, it isn`t the transfer of dirt, bricks and mortar.
